TERMS AND ACCEPTABLE USE
Understand how websites are built.
Responsibly.
What REA Tools does
REA Tools analyzes the public frontend of a website: the scripts, network requests, third-party services and page structure that any visitor’s browser receives. Reports explain the technology stack, the APIs a page calls and how a chosen feature works. We do not access private servers, accounts or data that is not already delivered to the public.
Allowed uses
- Learning how a public website or feature is built
- Technology and competitor research using public information
- Reviewing your own website or a website you are authorized to assess
- Auditing third-party scripts and services on websites you operate
Not allowed
- Copying or imitating sign-in, account, verification or payment pages
- Collecting credentials, personal data or session information
- Planning or carrying out attacks, scraping at scale, fraud or bypassing access controls
- Content that is illegal or adult-oriented
- Infringing the intellectual property of the analyzed website
Pages we don’t analyze
Sign-in, authentication, account and payment pages are not eligible for REA traces or deep reports. Some website categories are blocked entirely. We may decline or refund any order that we believe falls outside these rules.
Deep reports
A deep report costs $5 and is processed by our payment partner, Creem. We prepare it from public evidence and email it within 1 business day of payment. If we can’t deliver a useful report for a page that meets these rules, we refund you. Reports describe observed behavior and evidence; they are not a security certification or legal advice.
